Ten water reservoirs feed into the fresh water supply for the greater city of Melbourne. Sugarloaf Reservoir is one of Melbourne’s closest nestled in the Christmas Hills, one hour north-east of the CBD. The dam was completed in 1981 (great year). On an average day the lake plays host to early morning walkers, fishermen, picnickers and sailors.
