Here’s a long overdue post on the RSPCA’s “Million Paws Walk” which we attended at Albert Park on May 18. It was akin to stepping inside an RSPCA advertisement for all creatures great and small, only “dogs” being the prerogative rather than “creatures”. It was interesting looking for the similarities between dog owner and dog. It’s a bit hit and miss but if you look hard enough something always seems to jump out at you.
The walk was organised to raise money for the terrific work RSPCA shelters do for abandoned and injured animals. The target of $497,000 was surpassed with $506,534 put on the board so congratulations to those who participated and raised money or donated toward it.
The day was a ripper with plenty of dog related entertainment around the finish line. Worthwhile putting in the calendar for next year. Even without a dog, looking at all the varieties on show and what traits they share with their master will keep you amused all day long 🙂
